Publication of the 2023 Census Report

Monaco Statistics publishes the 2023 population census. These results are the outcome of a change in method which is now ‘register-based’, i.e. using administrative databases.

As of 31 December 2023, the Principality of Monaco had 38,367 inhabitants. The population increased by 2.8% compared with the previous census in 2016, i.e. by more than a thousand additional residents.
